Buffet Lunch and Speeches

  Lunch was quite fabulous, with everyone enjoying a set starter, followed by a choice of lamb curry, beef carbonard or pasta. Most of us enjoyed apple pie with custard or cream, although youngsters were offered ice cream.

  The cake looked stunning - and it always seems a shame to attack such a work of art. The table decorations, of course, were themed, bright and attractive.

  All three speeches, by father of the bride, Hans, Bridegroom, Nick, and Best Man, John, were received with pleasure, amusement and applause. Indeed, the text of Nick's can be found on Facebook - so he didn't make it up on the Spur of the moment!
